Greek Fest in Libertyville Township

St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church in Libertyville Township will host its annual food festival earlier than usual. This year's Lake County Greek Fest will run from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. from Friday through Sunday, July 10 on the church grounds at 1400 O'Plaine Road between Route 137/Buckley Road and Route 120/Belvidere Road. Food offerings will include lamb on the spit, souvlakia (shish-kebab), Greek chicken, gyros, spanakopita (spinach pie) and more. There will also be delicious Greek treats that'll include ouzo cupcakes, games for the kids, music and dancing. The event and parking are free.
