Gizzae to perform in St. Charles

The St. Charles Park District brings the summer Concerts in the Park series to St. Charles’ historic downtown for families and friends to enjoy the outdoors and some fabulous music.

The next concert performance will be Gizzae at 7 p.m. Thursday, July 7, at the Lincoln Park Gazebo, located along Main Street between Fourth and Fifth streets.

Hailing from the beautiful Caribbean island of Dominica, the ancient and Holy Lands of Ethiopia, and the South Side of Chicago, comes the award-winning reggae music of Gizzae. Working and playing with a vast array of musical styles and talents has enabled Gizzae to create a unique blend of Roots Reggae.

This concert is free thanks to generous support of numerous local businesses.

Bring your family and friends for a picnic in the park. Settle in before the concert and enjoy picnic-style offerings at reasonable rates from downtown St. Charles restaurants and local vendors. Alcohol is not permitted at Lincoln Park. Guests are encouraged to get to the park early for better seating. Bring your lawn chairs and blankets, too.

In the event of rain, the concert will be moved to the Arcada Theatre at 105 E. Main St. Musicians are subject to change without notice. For more information about Concerts in the Park, visit www.stcparks.org or call the park district at (630) 513-6200.
