Rolling Meadows crash victim died of multiple injuries

Authorities said Tuesday they are continuing to investigate the three-vehicle crash that killed 20-year-old Ana Aguilar-Lopez of Rolling Meadows early Monday. An autopsy determined Aguilar-Lopez's death was accidental and that she died of multiple injuries, a Cook County medical examiner's office spokesman said.

Aguilar-Lopez was riding in the back seat of a minivan that got rear-ended just before 1 a.m. on I-90 west by the Devon Toll Plaza. She was ejected from the vehicle, which was in turn pushed into an SUV. Seven other people were transported to the hospital with nonlife-threatening injuries, authorities said.
