Sudden change can come at any time

“Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting.” #8212; Acts 2:2 (NIV)

Are you still waiting after days, months and years for a change in your life?

Do you feel like your prayers for a mate, a healing or a promotion have fallen on deaf ears? Sometimes when we#146;ve in an area for a long time, we just want to give up. I#146;ve been there, too.

I remember years ago, when I applied for a nurse supervisor position at the recommendation of my boss. I was getting excited about it, only to find my hopes dashed when I was told I was the second choice. However, while on vacation six months later, I received a phone call informing me the job was mine if I was still interested. A sudden change had occurred.

In another instance, my son was in an accident that left him in a coma. The doctors gave a pessimistic report for his recovery. However, God had another plan. After arriving home from the hospital one evening, in my state of exhaustion, I fell into bed. An hour later, I was awakened by a phone call telling me my son had come out of his coma.

I had been divorced for nine years. I was beginning to wonder if I would ever find a mate again. However, I persisted with God. Then, one day, there was a knock at my door #8212; my husband-to-be was on the other side. The rest is history.

The Scriptures are full of accounts of sudden changes. We are informed of people who had been sick for 12, 18 or even 38 years before they received a sudden change and were healed.

Other followers of God waited many years before they were promoted to divine destiny in leadership. At Jesus#146; instruction, the disciples waited 120 days for the wind of the Holy Spirit to suddenly arrive with a mighty entrance, filling their lives with new gifts and abilities.

You may not understand your circumstances, but don#146;t ever give up.

No matter how long you#146;ve waited, stay filled with hope that God will give you favor and bring your sudden change at any time.
