Algonquin Summer Concert Series starts June 30

The village of Algonquin invites you and your family to this year's Summer Concert Series, starting June 30 through Aug. 18. The concerts are free; bring a picnic dinner and enjoy the music on the scenic Fox River waterfront. The concerts are at 7:30 p.m. Thursday evenings at Riverfront Park, one block north of Algonquin Road on Harrison Street.

This year's lineup starts on June 30 with Die Musikmeisters. It continues on July 7 with Dooley Brothers; July 14 with The Rock Box; July 21 with Hudson McCoy; July 28 with Pirates Over 40; Aug. 4 with HiFi Superstars; Aug. 11 with Hillbilly Rockstarz; and Aug. 18 with HairDaze. The July 28 show will be in Towne Park as part of Algonquin Founders' Days.

Don't forget to come early and visit the Downtown Algonquin Farmers Market, which runs from 2-7 p.m. Thursdays, through Sept. 29.
