Cougars baffle Bees, win 4-1

BURLINGTON, Iowa — The Kane County Cougars increased their winning streak to a season-best five games Tuesday night with a 4-1 victory over the Burlington Bees at Community Field.The Cougars, who are 5-0 since the all-star break, set a franchise record for consecutive wins to start a second half.Pitchers Greg Billo, Santiago Garrido and Chas Byrne combined to baffle the Bees. Billo (5-1) made his first start since May 13 and gave up 1 run on 4 hits over 5 innings for the win. Garrido and Byrne each worked 2 scoreless innings, with Byrne posting his fifth save.
