Grayslake police promoting traffic safety

Grayslake police are trying to promote traffic safety by participating in the national campaign, “You Drink and Drive You Lose.” The two-week effort began June 17 and runs through the Fourth of July. Grayslake police announced Monday that a roadside safety check is planned for Friday, July 1 in the area of routes 120 and 83. Grayslake police are urging anyone who attends a function where alcohol will be served to designate a sober driver in advance, call a taxi if needed or use mass transportation to get around.
