Glen Ellyn seeks injunction against COD

Glen Ellyn has sought an injunction to make sure the four newly constructed buildings at the College of DuPage don’t open without occupancy permits.

On Tuesday, the village filed a motion seeking “injunctive relief,” and a hearing is expected Wednesday in DuPage County circuit court.

The two sides met Tuesday to discuss inspection reports completed by the college’s third-party inspectors. The village has said it is open to issuing permits after it meets with the college’s inspectors, but officials have also said the college’s inspectors don’t meet village standards. And, the village has indicated it would be willing to go to court to prevent the buildings from being occupied if an arrangement can’t be agreed upon.
