Palatine Public Library District board announces vacancy

The Palatine Public Library District board of library trustees declared a vacancy at its regular board meeting June 8, and seeks to fill this vacancy until the new board is seated in May, 2013, following the consolidated election April 9, 2013.

The board will fill the current vacancy by appointment. Application materials are available online at palatinelibrary.org. Paper copies are also available at the Palatine Public Library District administrative offices, 700 N. North Court, Palatine, IL 60067. These offices are open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Interested persons may apply via email to board Vice President Barbara Illian at billian@palatinelibrary.org or by mailing paper materials to her at the above address. All application materials must be received by Wednesday, July 13, at 5 p.m.

Applicants will be interviewed by the board of library trustees at a special board meeting on the evening of Tuesday, July 26. The selected candidate must meet all legal qualifications for this office.
