Pitching matchups: The White Sox' John Danks (0-8) vs. Michael Pineda (6-2) Monday; Phil Humber (4-3) vs. Felix Hernandez (6-4) Tuesday; Gavin Floyd (6-5) vs. Jason Vargas (3-3) Wednesday. All games 7:10 p.m.

At a glance: Danks still is seeking his first win and is the first White Sox pitcher to start the season at 0-8 since Eddie Smith in 1942. The surprising Mariners are getting it done with pitching. Heading into Sunday, they had the second-lowest team ERA (3.27) in the American League. Seattle also had the lowest batting average (.228) in the league. The Sox won two of three at Seattle in early May, and they've won eight straight home games against the Mariners dating to 2009.

Next: Oakland Athletics, Thursday-Sunday at U.S. Cellular Field
