There were smiles all around when the Villa Park Parks and Recreation Department's Readers'

Theatre Group performed for the residents of Bethlehem Woods Assisted living in La Grange Park.

In keeping with Memorial Day, the program focused on a mix of patriotic songs and readings which had

residents chiming in as the performers sang.

The Readers' Theatre group meets weekly at the Community Recreation Building, 320 E. Wildwood Ave.

This free program is open to anyone who enjoys performing with the benefit of not having to memorize a script.

There is no need to pre-register, just stop by any Monday between 3-4 p.m.

For more information, call Program Supervisor Jenny Casale at (630) 834-8525.
