Americans made a mistake in ’08

For two and a half years, we have watched the “Mistake of ’08” wreak havoc on every major issue to cross his path. He has shown that his skill as community organizer (passing out other people’s cash to his friends) doesn’t transfer well to a position that also has the power to print money. Before the Mistake, we all thought a million dollars was a lot of money; now the liberal politicians tell us not to worry about $15 trillion in debt and they sure don’t want any debt ceiling!

The Mistake was grinning a lot after he sneaked through his big health care bill. But now that some have read it, they find that it is not so good. Thousands of “waivers” have been granted to big labor unions and other friends and neighbors of the liberal democrats so they can continue the employee medical benefit plans that they had before the new law. Maybe we could give the Mistake a “do over.”

Foreign affairs has been an even bigger disaster. With the Mistake’s help, it appears that all those Middle East countries are going to be worse off after the “Arab Spring” than they were before and each of them hates the U.S. more after their revolutions.

But, the Mistake, with just a little help from the CIA and Navy SEALs, got a small popularity bump recently with the demise of Osama bin Laden. The Mistake doesn’t give any credit to all the people that have been tracking bin Laden down for the last 10 years. So let him take all the applause. We can start a list of the Mistake’s accomplishments. Anybody know when we might see No. 2 for the list?
