NCH chapel an awe-inspiring place

The chapel at Northwest Community Hospital is a sacred place for prayer. I experienced this personally this week.

All faiths are welcome but last Thursday it was filled with 10 people praying to Jesus for a precious woman in a life or death operation to remove cancer from her body. Front and center were her mom and dad. What a privilege to be there and see the legacy of faith that had been transmitted to the next two generations of this family.

Faith has nothing to do with church attendance although it’s also a good thing. Faith has everything to do with knowing where to turn for help when the stakes are at the ultimate level. And this precious family knew that the God who created the universe and redeemed the fallen state of mankind by the death of His Son, Jesus and sent the Holy Spirit to be among us still performing wonders and miracles was the only place to turn.

And the miracle was announced four hours later. Every trace of cancer gone, no evidence of disease, the best operation that could have ever been was performed.

And not only did the family ask and everyone praying in that room, but countless others who also knew the power of praying to our Mighty God. The prayer rugs in the corner weren’t required but the faith in the hearts of the people was. The mountain of cancer moved by the mercy of Jesus.

You had to be there. If you’ve never visited the chapel, I suggest a visit.
