‘Tall Tale Postcards’
The Arlington Heights Historical Museum and Heritage Gallery hosts a new traveling exhibit, “Storytelling Through the Mail: Tall Tale Postcards,” from the Michigan State University Museum. See more than 80 “tall tale” postcards from around the United States, demonstrating a unique humor dating back to the early 20th century at the Arlington Heights Historical Museum and Heritage Gallery, 110 W. Fremont St., Arlington Heights. The tall tales are often depicted with scenes that would not normally go together — such as regular-sized images matched with enlargements.
