Small fire snuffed out in Naperville

No one was injured in a late evening fire at a Walgreen Store being built in the 1300 block of Wehrli Road in Naperville, officials said.

Construction workers apparently touched off the fire before it was discovered at 8:51 p.m., when firefighters were called to the scene.

Fire officials said the first firefighters spotted a small fire burning on the roof upon arrival. The fire was extinguished within 10 minutes.

The store was under construction, officials said, and no one was hurt in the fire.

The building suffered about $5,000 in damages, officials said.

The Lisle-Woodridge Fire Protection District and Bolingbrook Fire Department assisted in the blaze.
