America’s Best Frisbee Dogs come to Palatine Park District

If you’re looking for some Frisbee pointers now that summer’s on its way, or simply enjoy watching canines run at breakneck speeds to chase down the elusive discs, the Palatine Park District has an event for you.

America’s Best Frisbee Dogs will put on a high-flying performance at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 22, at Ost Field, Fremont and Colfax streets, Palatine.

Trainer Bill Camp’s dogs regularly wow crowds at college and professional sporting events, where they do stunts, acrobatics and go to great heights and distances to snatch Frisbees midair.

And to assist homeless dogs in Palatine, Young at Heart Pet Rescue will be on hand to collect donated cans and small bags of dog food, as well as soft dog toys.

The cost is $6, or $5 per person when part of a group of 20 or more. The event will move to the Community Center gym in the event of inclement weather.
