Dining events: Feed your funny bone at Peppercorns

A little dinner music

Enjoy the musical political satire “Liberal vs. Conservative” performed by morning radio host Scott “Uncle Scotty” Alan and company Saturday, May 7, at Peppercorns. Seatings are at 5 and 8 p.m. The show costs $20 with dinner, $10 for the show only. Reservations recommended.

Burger Bash

Celebrate National Burger Month by sampling a different burger each week at Labriola Bakery Cafe then vote for your favorite. Will this week's Short Rib Burger on Chocolate (no kidding!) Brioche (available through Sunday, May 8) beat out the Meatloaf Burger on a Pretzel Bun (May 30 to June 5)? No penalty for voting early and often. The winning burger earns a reccuring spot on the menu alongside the cafe's already famous Richie Burger.

Labriola Bakery Cafe is at 3021 Butterfield Road, Oak Brook. (630) 574-2008 or labriolacafe.com.
