Prison time for Hoffman Estates man who admitted driving on a revoked license

A Hoffman Estates man with several DUI convictions pleaded guilty Wednesday in Rolling Meadows to driving on a suspended or revoked license and was sentenced to a year in jail.

A Cook County judge sentenced Michael Bennett, 36, who was on bond on the charge of aggravated driving while his license was revoked at the time of his February arrest in South Barrington for driving with an expired vehicle sticker.

Prosecutors say Bennett, of the 600 block of West Bode Road, has five DUI convictions dating back to 1994.

Bennett received credit for the 66 days he has spent in custody since his arrest.
