Lecture May 2 on Des Plaines River watershed

Ralph Frese, founder of the Des Plaines River Marathon, will give a talk on “The Des Plaines River Watershed, from Wisconsin to Kankakee,” at 7:30 p.m. May 2 at Libertyville village hall, 118 W. Cook St.

His multimedia show will include the natural and human histories of the area.

Frese, a recognized expert on the watershed has received a Legends of Paddling national award and was inducted into the Illinois Outdoor Hall of Fame in 2006.
