Mt. Prospect brings back Cruise Nights

The Mount Prospect Downtown Merchants Association will hosting the fifth year of BluesMobile Cruise Nights beginning on Saturday, May 14, 2011 and continuing every Saturday night through Sept. 24.

The event is from 6 to 9 p.m. in the Metra Lot at Route 83 and Northwest Highway. Every week features a different theme, but all makes are always welcome.

The weekly free raffle prizes will continue to be featured, along with various special events for pets and children, and a rotating schedule of entertainment.

“We are happy to continue this popular event into another year,” said Katie Dolan Dix, president of the Mount Prospect Downtown Merchants Association. “With so many people cutting their budgets, events like the BluesMobile Cruise Nights offer families an excursion without the expense.”

This event is great for the entire family and free to all participating cars. The area businesses have sponsored the event as a way to promote the downtown and give back to the community.
