Good luck. Schaumburg Twp. library trustees

I offer my sincere congratulations to the newly elected Schaumburg Township District Library trustees Julie Wroblewski Bosshart, Debby Miller and Nicholas Scipione. The Schaumburg Township voters have placed their trust in the newly elected trustees and I would hope that the trustees will spend the taxpayers' dollars wisely, the same as if they were spending their own funds.

Too many times elected officials forget that the taxes they spend come from residents who have worked hard for their money and expect their elected officials to spend tax dollars efficiently and wisely.

I appreciate the trouble many of our voters went through to cast their votes. I applaud them for making their views known and electing the persons they believe will do the best for them and will use their tax dollars with discretion. I am honored by the votes cast for me and those voters who had confidence in my abilities.

Now that the election is over, it is time for all of us to keep the best interests of our residents and taxpayers in mind and not take them for granted.

I wish the newly elected library trustees well and may they be guided to do the right thing.

Richard M. Hetzer
