Suburban popsters

The Northwest suburban band Dot Dot Dot specializes in energetic rock that comes wrapped in an '80s-style synth sheen. The band's live shows are all about getting the party started, and Dot Dot Dot will be working its magic this weekend in the city.

Missouri men

The members of the alt-country band Ha Ha Tonka hail from the Ozark region of Missouri. They combine country and bluegrass sounds with the growl and literate songcraft of a band like the Replacements. Ha Ha Tonka is touring behind the band's just-released record, “Death of a Decade” (on the local Bloodshot Records label), and they put on a foot-stompin' live show.
