North Aurora Dollar General robbed

Two men robbed the Dollar General Store in North Aurora Thursday night, getting away with $323, police said Friday.

It happened at 8:30 p.m. at 190 Butterfield Road.

The men entered the store with their faces covered by bandannas, so that only their eyes showed. One of the men had a gun and pointed it at the two clerks on duty, while the other man demanded money be taken out of the cash register, according to police.

After the robbery the pair ran to a nearby four-door vehicle.

The suspects are described as black men, with medium builds, 5 feet 8 to 5 feet 11 inches tall. One was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, a dark bandanna and light black jeans, and he was carrying a black handgun. The other wore a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt, a dark bandanna, jeans, and black shoes with white soles.

Anyone with information is asked to call the North Aurora Police Department’s Investigations Division at (630) 897-8705.
