Thank you, Scouts, for help with move

When the Lake County Genealogical Society was asked to vacate the Fremont Library in Mundelein, we were fortunate enough to find a new home at the Vernon Hills village hall. Now, we had the problem of getting all our things moved.

On Feb. 19, the Boy Scouts of Troops 71 and 198 came to our rescue. I basically pointed out what needed to go and then stood aside, and within about two and a half hours, the place was empty and they didn’t stop until it was deposited in our new space.

There are not enough words of praise to describe the job they did for us. So, from the entire Genealogy Society, a simple thank-you goes out the troop, leaders and parents: Mark and Christian Hobson, Jonah Brame, Eli Roller, Zach Alban, Rick and David Stone, Charlie and Patrick Hutchins, John, Andrew and Spencer Wells, Rob and Chris Haidvogel, Ken, Ryan and Dylan Ledman, John and Brian Stanislawski, Carson Beck and Clayton Slack.
