In Queen Bee Elementary District 16 two incumbents and two challengers are running for three four-year seats on the school board. Incumbents are Robert Rellinger and Nancy DiCanio, and challengers are Richard McDonald Jr. and Kerry Josefek. Rellinger and DiCanio have a good working relationship after many years on the board together. They agree on topics to improve the schools, including fiscal stability and ESL student education. Both have experience and smarts to move forward financially, and both have a sincere interest in students' education. The Daily Herald endorses them. Newcomer McDonald would make a good addition to the board. Emphasizing main objectives as the well-being and education of students, he has prepared by attending board meetings and educating himself on issues. He believes that the board works for the parents and students. McDonald is also endorsed. Josefek chose not to participate in our endorsement process.
