Another option for Fox Valley foodies

If you enjoy the offerings at Sláinte, be sure to check out the student-run restaurant at another Fox Valley community college.

Spartan Terrace serves dishes prepared and served by students in the culinary arts and hospitality program of Elgin Community College.

The menu includes a range of upscale entrees, including vegetarian options, at $8 to $10. Soups, salads and desserts are also on the menu.

The restaurant is open from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays through May 3 while classes are in session. It is also open during the fall semester.

Spartan Terrace is in the culinary arts center of Elgin Community College, 1700 Spartan Drive, Elgin.

Reservations are strongly recommended, groups of six or more must call ahead (847) 214-7382. Major credit cards are accepted.
