Applicants sought to fill Elk Grove park board vacancy

Elk Grove Park District is accepting applications for a park board seat left vacant after the death of Commissioner Ron Foster last month.

The appointee will fill the remaining two years of Foster’s term, which expires April 2013.

Interested candidates must fill out a questionnaire that can be obtained by visiting elkgroveparks.org. The deadline to submit a completed questionnaire is noon, March 28. Only candidates residing within the boundaries of Elk Grove Park District are eligible.

Top applicants will be interviewed by current park board commissioners and the newly-appointed commissioner will be sworn in at an April board meeting.
