'Twilight' star at Westfield Hawthorn

Hollywood star Peter Facinelli will be in Vernon Hills on Sunday for a meet and greet and autograph/photo session at the Westfield Hawthorn shopping center.

The event will be in Macy's Court at the mall, Route 60 and Milwaukee Avenue. The meet and greet will be from 11:30 a.m. to noon. The autograph and photo sessions will be from noon to 5 p.m.

Facinelli played Dr. Carlisle Cullen in the films “Twilight” and “The Twilight Saga: New Moon” and stars with Edie Falco in the Showtime series “Nurse Jackie”. He is married to actress Jennie Garth, who plays Kelly Taylor on “Beverly Hills 90210”.

The fee for autographs is $25 and photos $40, cash only. A portion of the proceeds will benefit Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to finding a cure for childhood cancer.

Facinelli is doing a mall tour to meet fans and to raise awareness for the foundation. This is his only stop in the Chicago area.

A fashion show featuring `tween apparel from popular stores such as Aldo, Charlotte Russe, dELi*s, H&M, Hot Topic, Victoria's Secret, Pink and Torrid will be from 11 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
