8 charged in Aurora prostitution sting

An undercover investigation targeting prostitutes who advertise their services online led to the arrests of eight women at an apartment on Aurora's far-east side, police said Monday.

Authorities said the investigation involving Aurora's Special Operations Group and its Community Oriented Policing Unit centered on prostitution offered in the Western suburbs.

All eight women were arrested Feb. 16 at a single apartment, but authorities declined to identify the address “in order to maintain the integrity of similar operations in the future,” according to a news release.

In addition, authorities seized vehicles belonging to some of the suspects. To retrieve the vehicles, police said, the owners each had to pay $500, plus towing and storage costs.

Those charged with prostitution were identified as:

• Lauren C. Banks, 18, of the 500 block of East 102nd Street, Chicago;

• Kristina G. Colon, 22, of the 900 block of Berwick Place, Waukegan;

• Gabrielle A. Federick, 18, of the 700 block of East 73rd Street, Chicago;

• Jennifer M. Feigl, 22, of the 6700 block of Cedar Lane, Westmont;

• Nocturna Z. Geiter, 29, of the 13000 block of Clinton Street, Blue Island;

• Chunxia Liu, 40, of the 2900 block of Emerald Avenue, Chicago;

• Whitney L. Posey, 23, of the 900 block of Grand Canyon Parkway, Hoffman Estates;
