Delnor collects coats for needy

Cold weather is definitely here. For an increasing number of people, that doesn't mean rummaging through drawers trying to decide which one of several sweaters to wear. It means finding one coat that will protect them from the biting cold and the tough economy puts even more people in need.

One of the ways you can help is through Delnor's “Giving Tree — Coats for the Community” drive.

Through the end of December, The Giving Tree is committed to collecting new or gently-used clean winter coats, mittens, gloves, scarves and hats in the spirit of helping others this holiday season. They are looking for donations ranging from infant to adult sizes. They are also accepting warm winter blankets. All items collected will be donated to the Salvation Army.

Making a donation is easy, simply pull to the entrance of Delnor Hospital and the valet parking staff will take your donated items and place them by the Delnor Giving Tree located in the main lobby of Delnor Hospital, 300 Randall Road, Geneva. Valet is available from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. weekdays.
