Cultural fair volunteers sought

Antioch-Lake Villa Area High School District 117 is seeking volunteers for an International Fair to promote diversity to be held March 12.

Students and community members are invited to participate in the event by providing a cultural dish and/or putting on a performance or demonstration that represents a specific ethnicity or region.

"We are looking for people to make this a success," said Rachel Morales, World Languages Department chair at Lakes Community High School in Lake Villa.

Anyone interested should contact Morales at or (847) 838-7100 ext. 8044 before Jan. 11. Participants will be expected to attend at least one informational meeting at the end of January.
