Southern Illinois beats Indiana State 49-21

CARBONDALE -- Chris Dieker threw four touchdowns and ran for two more and Southern Illinois beat Indiana State 49-21 Saturday.

The Salukis (5-6, 4-4 Missouri Valley) finished with 508 total offense yards to Indiana State's (6-5, 4-4) 301 yards.

Dieker set career-highs with four TD passes and 279 yards and finished with 11 carries for 41 yards on the ground.

Dieker connected with Kyle Harruff on a 31-yard TD pass and Cam Fuller on a 29-yarder. Joe Allaria and Philip Schumacher also caught Dieker TD passes. Shariff Harris also ran for a TD.

Darrius Gates rushed for two touchdowns and finished with 26 carries for 179 yards for the Sycamores. Coy Glass also threw a TD pass to Brock Lough.
