Scouting report: Glenbard South knows it won’t surprise its opponents. The Raiders know foes will focus on 6-foot-4 center Markovic, who has a sweet shooting touch and is a deft passer. “Everyone knows in the county that our offense is going to run through her,” Fonda said. Hicks, at 5-10, also will be counted on for scoring and rebounding. “Those two, they need to touch the ball every time down the floor, one or the other,” she said. Chitkowski, whom Fonda describes as “just a total workhorse,” is a tough player who can rebound and score also. “You’ve got three kids who are just refusing to lose, so that’s huge,” Fonda said. Point guard was a question mark last year, but Fonda feels good about the experience the Cates-Scheet combination brings this year. Engelhardt adds defensive intensity.
