Algonquin Road in Des Plaines. "Taylor was a sweet guy always opening the door for people and complimenting them. Eyeryone knew him, he was just so nice," Rzepecki said.

The mulched leaves were blasted into the back of the truck as they went along, creating a temporary fog of dust and leaf particles as they moved up and down village streets. Sunshine and temperatures well above normal provided for a picture-perfect fall day to be working outside.

Susan Angell-Case gets a case of the giggles while moving a Christmas tree with a book cart to The Centre of Elgin from the Gail Borden Public Library Friday, November 12. Eight trees in all were moved via the carts, which was not an easy task with a bit of a breeze in the air and having to roll over uneven pavement and sidewalks. In all, 26 small trees, six large trees and two wreaths were created for the Ecker Center for Mental Health's 10th annual Festival of the Trees fundraiser. The trees will be available for purchase to the highest bidder at the "Celebration Event!" on Saturday at 6pm.
