Roth will do for state what she did here

I am writing this letter to tell you why I support Billie Roth for state representative. I believe that Billie Roth can play a crucial part in bringing Illinois back to financial health. She will lead in changing the “corrupt culture” that has embedded itself in Springfield.

Billie Roth has the qualifications to serve as state representative (District 44) because she has served as trustee, village clerk and village president of Streamwood. When Billie first became president, Streamwood was much like Illinois, scarred with corruption. Billie pulled Streamwood out of the abyss and will do the same in Springfield.

Billie Roth has demonstrated her dedication and commitment to the residents of Streamwood by her involvement and support in the D.A.R.E. (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) program, attendance (and participation) in multiple community events, solid advocate to the business community and her involvement in veteran's events throughout the year.

Billie Roth has lived in the village for many years; her children attended U-46 schools. She works a part-time job outside the home; is active in her church and still devotes time to the lives of her family. Billie Roth is energetic, hardworking and dedicated to public service.

Billie Roth is not just another candidate running for state representative because the “Democrats are vulnerable,” she is running because she feels sure that she can make a difference.

Billie Roth has a plan to start the difficult task of fixing Illinois' broken budget. She has ideas for job creation without increasing taxes or floating bonds. She will not support legislation that will raise taxes and will look for ways to eliminate waste and corruption in all areas of the state budget.

In these times, we need to elect an individual that is an independent thinker who will challenge the entrenched Democrats to look at different approaches to solving the state's enormous financial problems. That person is Billie Roth. Instead of allowing the same old “Rubber Stamp” politicians to remain in office, let's elect someone with new ideas and know-how. I'm voting for Billie Roth on Nov. 2nd, and hope you will too.
