N. Chicago man charged in Antioch heroin overdose

A North Chicago drug dealer has been arrested following a three-month investigation into the overdose death of an Antioch woman, police said.

Sederls Williams of the 1000 block of Glenn Drive was charged with drug-induced homicide on Tuesday after detectives connected him to the herion that killed a 22-year-old Antioch woman in June, according to police.

Lindsey Smith of Antioch was found dead at the Sunset Motel at 267 Route 173 in Antioch on June 12 from an apparent heroin overdose. After conducting interviews with persons who had been with Smith before her death over the past three months, authorities were able to trace the heroin to Williams, police said.

Williams was also charged with unlawful delivery of a controlled substance.

If convicted, he could face between six and 30 years in prison.
