Schaumburg bank drive-through no more

The developer of a strip mall in Schaumburg wants to replace space originally set aside for the drive-through lanes of a bank with a 2,400-square-foot addition.

Shoppes on Meacham is located at 1400-1408 N. Meacham Road and currently houses a Noodles and Company, Fannie May and Fed Ex/Kinko's. When Oak Park-based Heritage Property Group Inc. received approval for the building in 2006, the northernmost tenant space was proposed to be a bank with a drive-through.

The proposed addition the Schaumburg village board will consider at 8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 14, would accommodate a more general type of use.
