Candidates to address special needs forum

Candidates in four Northwest suburban state legislative races will address a forum at 7:30 p.m. today at the Schaumburg Township Building, One Illinois Blvd., Hoffman Estates, on services to children with special needs.

The forum will give parents, educators and others the opportunity to discuss with the candidates their concerns and provide ideas to improve education and services for special needs children and adults.

Candidates slated to appear are 44th District Rep. Fred Crespo, a Democrat, and his challenger, Streamwood Mayor Billie Roth, a Republican; 54th District House candidates Matt Flamm, Democrat, and Tom Morrison, Republican; 56th District House candidates Michelle Mussman, Democrat, and Ryan Higgins, Republican, and 28th District Senate candidates Corinne Pierog, Democrat, and incumbent John Millner, Republican.
