Elgin man denies raping teen at gunpoint

An Elgin man was arraigned Friday on charges he raped a 15-year-old girl at gunpoint.

Victor J. Ocampo, 19, of the 400 block of Ann Street, pleaded not guilty to five counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse, two counts of criminal sexual assault, two counts of criminal sexual abuse and one count of sex abuse, according to Kane County court records.

Police have said Ocampo put a gun to the head of a 15-year-old girl and forced her to have sex with him at her Elgin home during the early hours of Jan. 30.

He was arrested in June after the victim identified him in a lineup and authorities conducted DNA tests.

Ocampo, who is scheduled back court Sept. 24, remained in the county jail Friday on $500,000 bail. According to court records, he also has an burglary case pending in Kane County.
