Enter your pet in Cary kids dog show

Is your dog the smartest? Happiest? Most loved? Best fed? Does he or she have the longest ears? Shortest legs? Or loudest bark?

Show off your best friend and let your doggy be the star of the show as the Cary Park District hosts a kids dog show. Pure mutts and pure pedigrees alike are welcome to compete of a variety of honors.

The show will be held from 11 a.m. to noon on Saturday, July 24 at Lions Park, behind the preschool building. Dogs must be on a leash at all times and be able to interact with other dogs and humans. The contest is open to children age 5 to 13 and their dog - any age and any size. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

Space is still available. Preregistration is required. Registration is $5 for residents and $8 for nonresidents per child/dog team and is accepted at the Cary Park District Community Center, 255 Briargate Road, Cary.
