Teen builders show project:The Batavia High School "Building Trades" students have an open house from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. today at their nearly-complete house at 707 E. Lathem St., Batavia. The house is for sale. Through Monday the boats are available from 2 to 8 p.m. Cost is $10 per 30-minute rental. The boats hold up to four people. A $2 coupon is available at foxvalley.suddenvalues.com.Fine Arts Show:The St. Charles Fine Arts Show will be from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. today and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday along First Avenue in the downtown area. Admission is free and free parking is available at nearby city lots. There also will be artist demonstrations and live music throughout the weekend from the Andrew Patric Trio, Dennis O'Brien, Train Company, Witness, Od Tapo Imi and Mark Prieve. For details, go to dtown.org.Road closed in Kane:Beginning today there will be daily lane closures in the vicinity of Route 25 near the Illinois Prairie Path between St. Charles and South Elgin. Closures will be during daytime hours and are needed for new road paving of Stearns Road near the bridge project. The work should conclude June 9.
