Palatine, McHenry to meet for Barrington title

Top-seeded Palatine will meet McHenry in today's 1 p.m. championship game in the Barrington boys water polo sectional.

The Pirates (22-10) defeated Buffalo Grove 15-9 in a rematch of the teams that played for the Mid-Suburban League championship.

McHenry (27-4), the No. 3 seed in the sectional, eliminated No. 2 seed Schaumburg 13-8. The Saxons wrapped up their season with a record of 21-9, and the Bison finished (19-12).

In the Vernon Hills sectional, Wheeling's season came to a close in a 21-13 loss to top seed Mundelein. The Mustangs will meet No. 3 seed Stevenson, which upset No. 2 Lake Forest 13-9, in today's champinoship game.
