Aurora testing hydrants:

The Aurora Fire Department is flow-testing hydrants through June 30 to assure the hydrants have the required water flow and will operate properly in the event of an emergency. Since the testing might produce rusty water capable of staining clothes, officials are asking residents to refrain from doing laundry between 8 a.m. and noon Mondays through Thursdays when the testing will be conducted. Roughly one-third of the city's hydrants will be tested. For details, visit the city's website at aurora-il.org or call (630) 264-4636.
