Glenbard North takes two from Streamwood

Glenbard North 8-14, Streamwood 0-2: Alyssa Jasinski slugged a grand slam in the second game, one of 5 homers for the Panthers in a doubleheader sweep.

Winning pitcher Lilly Fecho (14-6) struck out 15 in Game 1, and also hit her fourth homer of the year and drove in 4 runs. Jessica Norman added 2-run shot. In the second game Jenny Nelson hit her eighth homer of the year. Alexis Simone also went deep for Glenbard North (17-6).

Wheaton North 4-3, St. Charles East 0-2: Kelsey Ullrich went 3-for-4 with 2 runs batted in and Paige Wilson 2-for-3 with 2 RBI in Game 1, which the Falcons won in eight innings by international tiebreaker. Maddie Bucheit (1-0) notched the win in the second game for Wheaton North (17-7).

Benet 8-12, Joliet Catholic 5-9: Winning pitcher Allyson Staats (14-7) homered, doubled and drove in 4 runs while striking out five for the Redwings (16-11) in the first game. Mikayla Panko also went deep. In Game 2 Lauren Ladowski went 2-for-4 with a homer, 3 RBI and 2 runs scored to complete the sweep.

Downers Grove South 5-1, Schaumburg 4-7: A 4-run second inning held up for the Mustangs (20-4) in Game 1. Marissa Mersch went 3-for-4 with a double, 2 runs scored and an RBI. Danielle Trezzo went 2-for-4 with 3 RBI. Trezzo went 2-for-3 in the second game with a double and scored the Mustangs' only run.

Immaculate Conception 7, Aurora Central 1: Jocelyn Sanchez went 3-for-4 with 2 RBI and Briana Iosco 2-for-4 with a triple and 3 RBI for the Knights (16-7, 11-1 Suburban Christian Conference Gold). Erin Dunne (7-4) struck out five.
