Talk on ice won't slow Blackhawks

VANCOUVER, British Columbia - Most of what's said on the ice between the Blackhawks and the Canucks can't be re- peated here.

But some of it can, like what Alex Burrows said to Brian Campbell when he was earning that key unsportsmanlike conduct penalty in Game 3 that led to a Hawks power-play goal.

"It was, 'I'm a wimp and I'm not this and I'm that,'" Campbell said. "I didn't really listen to a whole lot. It doesn't intimidate myself or anyone else in the room. It is what it is."

Campbell didn't remember doing anything to provoke Burrows.

"I was just going back for the icing call and lineup and I saw him skate from one side of the ice and thought, 'OK, here we go,' but it's fine."

Adam Burish ripped into Burrows for targeting Campbell in Game 3.

"The thing that upsets me about (Shane) O'Brien and Burrows is they go and target (Patrick Kane and Jonathan Toews)," Burish said. "The clown Burrows goes after Campbell in the middle of the ice.

"Give me a break. If you want to target someone, come find me or (Ben Eager). You guys want to pretend you're so tough, and yet you go and try to pick a fight with those guys.

"We call O'Brien a 'spot picker.' He picks his spots pretty nice.

"He knows who's on the ice and when he can be a tough guy and when he kind of has to shut up."

The longer the series goes, the more the dislike between the two teams figures to grow.

"We had a slow start in Game 1 and it wasn't as intense as some people expected maybe, but it's definitely escalating now," Toews said.

"Every series, it doesn't matter who you're playing, it gets more and more personal as you go along."

Big Buff story: Brent Seabrook remembers the first time he ever saw Dustin Byfuglien.

"I played against him when I was 9 and I told my dad he was their best player; he was big and he had a hard shot," Seabrook said.

"I remember when we were 13 or 14 years old asking people where he went and nobody knew. Then later there he was in the Western League with Prince George."

Change it up: Canucks coach Alain Vigneault made two lineup changes, sitting Pavol Demitra and Rick Rypien in favor of Tanner Glass and Michael Grabner.

Vigneault also tweaked his power play, moving Alex Burrows and Kevin Bieksa to the first unit.

The Canucks were 2-for-14 on the power play in the first three games of the series.

"Obviously there are a few adjustments we need to make on our power play," Vigneault said.
