Traffic crackdown coming on Route 59

Police will be cracking down on speeders and motorists not wearing seat belts Tuesday, May 11, along 45 miles of the Route 59 corridor from Shorewood to Barrington through Will, DuPage, Cook and Lake counties.

Police agencies participating in the enforcement campaign include police departments from Naperville, Aurora, Plainfield, Shorewood, Joliet, Warrenville, West Chicago, Bartlett, Streamwood and Barrington along with state police and Will County sheriff's deputies.

Each jurisdiction will implement their own enforcement action based on the needs of their communities.
