Earth Week cleanup
The Naperville Park District is seeking volunteers to celebrate Earth Week by working in selected parks picking up litter, planting trees and removing weed and fallen twigs. Bowl for PADS
Bowlers can help the homeless by registering for DuPage PADS' eighth annual Bowl-A-Rama from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday, May 1 at Fox Bowl, 1101 Butterfield Road, Wheaton. Register as a team, with one captain and four bowlers, or as an individual. Each bowler commits to raise $150 in donations, or $750 per team. The fee includes three games, all-you-can-eat pizza, T-shirt, prizes for highest donations and scores, and a raffle. For reservations, call (630) 682-3846, ext. 242.
Dist. 2 teachers perform
Bensenville Elementary School District 2 presents a faculty recital from 6 to 7 p.m. Friday, April 16 at Blackhawk Middle School, 250 S. Church Road. Eight teachers will perform as soloists and with ensembles. Music styles featured include classical, pop, rock, opera and jazz.
