Foul play not a factor in Fox Lake death

Foul play was not a factor in the death of a woman whose body was found along railroad tracks in Fox Lake, Lake County coroner's officials said Friday.

However, the official cause of death won't be known until toxicology test results are available in about two weeks, Lake County Coroner Richard Keller said.

Fox Lake police said a passer-by found the body of Jennene Manlick, 47, of Fox Lake, about 1 p.m. Thursday in some brush about 25 feet from the Rollins Road bike path near Ridgeland Road, near tracks owned by the Wisconsin River Rail Transit Commission.

Keller said the body showed significant decomposition.

Police Chief Mike Behan said the woman was reported missing Jan. 4, and had not been seen since Dec. 28.

He added the investigation into her death will continue while officials await toxicology results.
