Schaumburg man charged with burglarizing storage area

A Schaumburg man was charge with burglarizing a storage area at the East Park Apartments in Rolling Meadows.

Police said a maintenance worker saw the man exiting a normally locked basement door in the 5000 block of Weber Drive Friday afternoon.

Raphael Arriaga-Jiminez, 29, of 2272 Algonquin Parkway, was charged with felony residential burglary as well as theft and lying to police about his identity.

According to police reports, Arriaga-Jiminez removed a socket wrench set and space heater from the storage area. Bond was set at $40,000; he is due back in court March 2.
