Des Plaines woman in jail on felony drug acquisition charge

A 45-year-old Des Plaines woman will spend the weekend in jail after prosecutors say she tried to obtain prescription hydrocodone from a Park Ridge pharmacy while free on bond for allegedly committing a similar offense in July 2009.

Christine M. Pahnke, 1812 Sycamore St., was charged with one felony count of unlawful acquisition of a controlled substance by fraud.

On Friday night, she allegedly posed as a doctor and called a pharmacy to fill a prescription in a relative's name. Bond was set at $40,000 for the current arrest and Pahnke faces a March 3 court hearing in Rolling Meadows. Because of the pending trial in the 2009 incident, she will appear before a judge at the Skokie courthouse on Monday.
